We All Go Back To Where We Belong

Everyday where...

where my morning is normally embrace with the divine images of my daughter
where at its best, the morning light reflects behind my curtain
where I always come across with this view outside my window
where I settle myself in the living room
where I have my harmonious green tea and briefly read some pages of a novel
where I love to stare the women on a sort of a 'Victorian era' where fashion seen mostly in the 1840s till early 1870s in this painting despite the frightening frame
where I discern the bright skies in an open window
where the other side of the window allowed a boring view
where after my grand shower, I had to abandon the flat by passing this wide yet clean corridor
where when I'm going down I discourage myself to use the lift by pressing the button up instead of down to avoid the temptation
where I better stretch some leg muscles by using the stairs from second floor to ground floor.
where I take a seemingly usual short walk on my way to work
where I have my much anticipated hot black coffee in the office
where I ignite another long day of performing my job
where I eat my weird lunches like this fettuccine with spaghetti sauce in full enthusiasm
where I finally walked home after a stressful day of work
But those everyday walks are associated with distress and homesickness, the disturbing desire to be able to go back to my country.

I dedicate this post to R.E.M. band who announced their split a few weeks ago. Actress Kirsten Dunst (wearing Rebecca Taylor 'Black Ghost' cut-out floral dress), and artist/poet/activist John Giorno, star in their final single "We All Go Back To Where We Belong" in two different videos.

Both music videos were simple and easy, and watching them the whole length warmed my heart. It made me pause for a while at the slave of my mundane routines. Rather than seeing them as sadness, I endure them with their simple glory and to be thankful for every wonder they brought to me.

It seems like whatever I do I am pretty engaged for more months here until I have my holidays. At once, I temporarily embrace those moments with splendor, having done it almost every day for the past couple of years, I know one day I will go back to where I belong.

Yet, I wanna say happy halloween!

This Is Gonna Be A Good Life

Three days ago, skimming the latest showrooms in the heart of Ikea (mentioned here) had become my embodiment tools to weave my dream home (yes, I literally meant "dream").

Take a tour with me where I walked in and walked out transforming my imagination of a castle into magic.

And judging by these photos it appears I had fun doing this post, while everything, well almost everything I dreamt of a home is under one roof at Ikea.

Do you also fancy a crib to live with your desired style? Well, good luck, and happy homedreaming!

Ikea Home Furnishings

My soon-to-be-married couple friends are having their dream house in the Philippines. After my work yesterday, they took me with them to visit Ikea. I know it was my recurrent persuasions about Ikea that influence them. It is customary for Filipinos for a home that infuses warmth with beautiful blend, and yet inexpensive furniture for indoor home decors, and personally, Ikea is the place to be.

I am proud to say that I did not let them down. Perhaps it was because of the bed frames that they focus more their attention as they say it offers them fresh and functional designs, not mentioning the absolute base for snuggling each other (ssshhh…I’m being naughty again… haha..) Eventually, they bought few home accessories for beginners luck, and they will definitely go back there to buy more pieces that will induce serenity fit for a new family.

One afternoon turn to be a fun and inspiring journey in each Ikea showroom we rolled in which I'm gonna separately post soon. And of course, nothing could be more exciting than trying out the offer of their tantalizing menu.

Wish you all the fun!

Victoria’s Secret : Sparkling Lipstick : L54 On Fire Review

Red lipstick is a typical and timeless beauty statement. It is safe to wear in the office to glam up a tasteless daily white uniform, or bring a simple jeans + white top combo a lively look, or stand out for a night out with a classic Little Black Dress (LBD).

Colossal Victoria's Secret's products were the early present of my friend from her mom who is now in the US. Her mom is so thoughtful to reserve a tiny space inside the box for me. This unexpected lipstick is a very early Christmas gift in a fiery mood!

I'm not a big make-up fan, except when it comes to discovering products that goes well with my skin so let me take this opportunity with you my experience.

I find difficulty to choose the right shade of lipstick for my skin tone and this gift comes in a slash of shade that matches my complexion. My lips are chappy and rather than my heavy matte textures, I like to wear this sheer and creamy lipstick while I keep the rest of my make-up minimum.

Red lipstick is not a color I want to make mistakes with, but then again this is my epic failure attempt of a heart-shaped kissable lippy.. I'm bad at make-up........ la, la, la, whatever...

How do I get the look? I first conceal around the edges of my lips and apply the lipstick using a soft lip brush. To make it polished, I gently buff my lips with a toothbrush that has a soft bristles to remove dry  and dead skin.

Wish to brighten your dull complexion?
Wish to shine in the middle of a frazzle?
Wish to glam a casual outfit?
Simple.
Wear your favorite Red Lipstick, and you're ready to go!

Sony Cyber-shot W530

Beyond any doubt I had passed my Canon PowerShot ELPH 100 HS to my younger sister, and at some point I was left perching with my old Canon PowerShot A95. Well, I won't depart my old Canon, I just fancy something sleek and handy to bring with me when I go out which I've mentioned here. And after days of anticipation, I settled myself to purchase the Sony Cyber-shot W530 among the three choices. I know you roughly notice any differences on the qualities of my photos from my previous posts and the recent posts (12). It's just fascinating that my new cam still provides me brilliant pictures at a low price.

I get amazing results. In other words, each of my great events can now be shared with style.
And oh! My office mate received a bunch of flowers from her boy friend, just borrowed it for my mini photo shoot... hahaha...

Wonderful. That's all I wish for your weekend!
